Face lift!!
Yeah... My blogs got a face lift.. And I am the Plastic surgeon(sounds cool ) behind this fab work!

The template I had a few days ago was one of a kind but I was bored with some much dark green (or bottle green as girls wud call it) in the background and wanted something white, Simi Grewalish white...

It took me about 40 manhours to design this template completely. The main structure is "inspired" from Finalsense.com's Auto template. But it seemed to impersonal...too unarshatish.. So, I had to come up with this!

So what do we have here?
I wanted the diary-feel so I have kept tht area intact. Actually I have tweaked it a lot! Top and bottom margins, padding, line height are some of the things you have to take into consideration. For a mech engg like me, who has trouble even with C and C++, Css stylesheet was gonna be difficult, real difficult.
With a lil help from Pushkar and Sameer and a lot of Trial testing, I have almost achieved wht I had set out to achieve. :)

The header could hav been better, I agree, but its not me, if its not shabby :P...

All these days I have really missed blogging(stop rejoiceing, I am back!). Revamping your blog takes a lotta time.
Point to be noted: I dont have a lotta Computer Engg as friends. I should do something bout that! It would have been less frustating(yeah thts the word) with a Comp sci guy by my side..

Now tht I have the template back in place, I ll be blogging more often *evil grin*

There is so much I wanna bore you guys with...I wanna talk bout how the xml collapsed and how coding sucks and stuff, but I guess I ll keep it for another day..I am too tired anyways..

Let me tell you a story…It wont make sense at first,but pay attention and you will get what I wanna convey…

This is a story of a F1 driver,a F3 driver actually who got promoted to F1 coz of his amazing driving skills at the F3 level…lets call him-Armez Rosso…He drives a ..lets say Mcfaren…

This story is about the race of his life…To see if he wins it…read on…

About this race…This race has 32 laps(you could choose any multiple of 8)…
He doesnt get the pole…hes a good driver but cant compare him with the drivers at F1

Alright,the lights turn green…the race starts…he is currently placed behind all the good drivers…They are seasoned drivers,hes just a novice…”Not fair”,he says to himself…
4 laps pass,Armez manages to steer himself past some of the “seasoned” drivers…He finds a driver who probably has the same sensibilities as him…They ride together…He is a lot of fun to be with,thinks Armez.
4 more laps pass…smooth…hes still good…
4 more laps…no excitement…Armez starts losing interest…
Thts when the unthinkable happens…engine failure…pit stop…Mcfaren guys cant figure out the problem…
Lot of time has passed…Everyone has moved on…Only losers are left behind…Armez realises tht some of the drivers have dropped out of the race…He fears being dropped out…Finds some drivers who lend him a helping hand…They share their skills…feels better…Now the race not so much about winning as it is about proving the world wrong…Armez puts the pedal to the floor…Sharp corner…manages well…He is among the best again…The audience is in awe…

2 yrs have passed by…After 16 laps,Armez feels tired…Where are we going?We are just moving round and round!There is no time to think…Race…steer past tht Fellari…F**k u loser!!
End of Sem 5…Next 4 laps are tougher…Armez sweeps past…He wishes the race would end here…Why all this? for a trophy? He probably knows hes not gonna get tht anyway…But is it really tht imp for other drivers…

Placed in one of the best companies on campus…For a moment he feels he has won…The audience claps…Thankyou all…but again does it really matter?
Last year of Engg…Hes got really tired…his grey Mcfaren is covered with dust…but they wouldnt care less…armez shifts down a gear…the car seems smoother…the turning has improved…was he putting too much load on the car?? He could now see other drivers…they wave at him as he passes by…
Those fellow drivers whom he met after 4 sem are still by his side…He now calls them “friends”…They still want the trophy it seems…Armez is too cool to worry,I guess…Hes enjoying the scenery.The track seems familiar,the drivers seem familiar…The audience seems satisfied…They can still see the Mcfaren’s gleaming grey through all tht dust tht has accumulated on it over the years…The grey shines in the sunlight as he takes a turn…
He looks at the audience,they could have been anywhere in the world…but they chose to come here…”You have been a great crowd…Thank You all for coming out…”
He realises tht it wasnt about the trophy…It was about the Race…
Does tht mean he will race again? I dont think so…
And about who won the trophy…Does it really matter?

We set out to Bikaner..Jaisalmer had already gained the status of the best fun destination,and I guess most of us were very tired to do anything but sleep in the bus…I dont really remember what we did in the bus,so I assume we must have slept for most of the time!When we reached the hotel,the world cup was going to begin…WI vs Pak…Saw some of the match then slept again!!??Did some really weird things tht Deepak wont approve of…,did tht thing anyway…(since I am not an anonymous blogger,I cant give out the details) Day 5

Long time no see??!

All three days were a lot of fun at SPACE…The best being(after a lot of consideration)the last day…
Following chronological order,the first day started with
elims(eliminations,duh!)with people like me getting eliminated in every event…I guess these elims are arranged so tht people like me know tht they are good for nothing(like I never knew!)
Well I did make it through the elims once,for the event..Ignoble ads..where we had to demote the products instead of promoting them!
Visual Impact followed after 6pm officially(7.30 unofficially)…
Second day was fun too,with Casino Royale being our favourite.There was a casino set-up in one of the drawing rooms,with gambling going full-on!Didnt win even after cheating!But did win in a game called code-venture!
Third day was the best coz I did what I normally wouldnt
do….dance!There were these FE girls with us,who seemed pretty interested(in the dance that is!).Learnt a few Salsa moves(the event is called Ballroom dancing).The choreo was really cool,making fun of everyone including himself…
The last event was the Rock Show…lot of headbanging…lot of weird looking guys..lot of second hand smoke…But tht was still fun coz most of my group was there…Navin,Kunal,Siddhant,Umesh and Arshat(thts
me).Also Harish was there(one of my oldies).Two FE girls tht I mentioned earlier are Shruti and Poonam who blended in as if they’d been with us from ages.I guess their bubbly innocence had a lot to do with these three days being so much fun!
And guess who sponsored the event? Its my employer…SIEMENS! SPACE 07….the last one…

I bought a inverter yesterday….Yeah,had to shell out Rs.14000. So now I have 24 hrs power supply…If you dont know how much I love MSEB people,please read it here

Now I dont have to worry about the games tht MSEB guys play right? Wrong! They must have cameras installed in my house I guess…coz they didnt cut the power today!!?

I buy a new inverter and there are no more power cuts??This cant be happening…Why have they singled me out?? Why is this happening to me?

It may sound stupid tht I am opposing the fact tht there was no pow cut today…but actually I am opposing the fact that they play games with our brains…

I am waiting for midnight,maybe they have something more in store for me!

Games people play!

I have been living the good life for the last 8 weeks...Tht includes 3 weeks in dec,4 weeks in Jan,and this week in feb ie 3+4+1=8...

Dec and 1st week of Jan were expectedly good coz tht was vacation time,but m amazed with the kind of fun I am having for the last 4 weeks(in coll)

Let us make a list of what all things I did since coll reopened:-
1.Sleeping(for me thts an activity) for 10 hrs everyday...
2.Attending Tecnobreak,never thought it cud be so much fun!
3.Writing my blog...this is fun too!
4.orkutting... always fun!
5.I m very much into 007 Nightfire...Amazing gameplay!(subject of seperate post!)
6.Movies..watching movies right left and centre!
7.Attending 7islands film festival(was very informative)
Never thought coll cud be so much fun!

Hope I continue living The Good Life..:-) The Good Life!

This post is for the people who do not believe in curse! I was one of them...
So this is how it goes...
On 26/7/2006,I set out to conquer(read travel) the local trains.I do this everyday of college,so this is not new.But tht fateful day i travelled in the second class compartment instead of the usual first class...This change of mind was brought about due to the expiry of my 1st class pass...
Also the 2nd class seemed fairly empty(empty,here is a relative term).But then,in a flash,out of nowhere, a group of 15 people mobbed me as I was trying to get in the compartment...
When I got in,i realised tht my 6630 was missing/stolen.This piece costs a good 12000 rupees.So u can understand the situation I was in...

Before i turn to the scary part,let me introduce u to my BE project group-
Deepak,chetan gosavi(have already posted bout his anctics),umesh(will be posting bout his anctics),and me.

I was the butt of all the jokes tht week(as is the norm),with chetan and umesh leading the charge!Little did they know what fate had in store for them.

2 months ago Chetan's mobile was stolen in a style similar to mine!
2 weeks ago umesh's mp4 player and his wallet got stolen under mysterious circumstances...(note tht all the materials were stolen and not lost!)

The only guy now left untouched by this curse is Deepak(the fourth member of our group).I guess he is already feeling the heat! I m sure he is acting extra careful while travelling!

Also note tht 26/7/2005 was the day when half of mumbai was under water(subject of a seperate post)[As would say"AIN'T SCARED YET??"]

[P.S. Either this is scary or I have really careless friends] Arshat chaudhary and the curse of the theif!(corny!)

India won yesterdays match...Sourav scripting the fairytale win
The irony here is tht this is the very pitch where sourav was accused of shunning his responsibilities as a batsman.The mood here at my college(sardar patel coll of engg.)is upbeat...The very people who wanted sourav dead are praising him...I guess this is how it is...

People support u only when u provide them entertainment,when u fail to do so,they will leave u,stranded...
This proably is the psyche of the mortals...They want a hero whom they can worship..they treat these heroes as gods...and when these "gods" fail they have to bear the brunt of public fury...

Enough of this lecturebaazi...I hav to get out of this comp lab...
